Sentiment Analysis API V1: requests are not completing, and are returning Error 7000 - Request took too long.

 

We noticed API calls faling with the above error, as of 4/30/2017 around 5pm GMT—and it appears to still be failing as of this morning. The "Try It" feature on the product page for both V1 and V2 fails with the same error:

Prior to this, other than intermittent outages, we have had no issue working with this service. I'm not sure if there is any additional information I can provide, but if so, please let me know.

Hello,

 

While calling https://api.havenondemand.com/1/api/sync/analyzesentiment/v2?text=hello&apikey=<withheld>, I'm getting:

}

 

It was working well around 8 hours ago. Any issues with the handling today?

I'm getting an error 7000 when trying to call the AddToTextIndex API.The message is "Request took too long". This is only happening on a recently created index of the jumbo flavor.

 

Is anybody experiencing the same issue?

Hi,

 

I have tried to use your "Contact Us" form, from both Chrome (v53) and Edge on a Windows 10 machine, but the submit button does nothing. I've tried it both logged in and logged out of your site.

When I perform a synchronous call to the sentiment analysis API via the HOD Python module and the first non-space character in the input text is & or #, the output is None.

Hello, I have several API keys that were compromised, and I would like to delete them as soon as possible, but there seems to be no option to delete the API keys in the account settings. Thank you.

Key Management Service Error 5100

I'm trying to create a Standard text index using the 'Create Text Index' on the Try It interface.

 

I was able to create and delete a Text Index earlier today (a couple of times), but now it's not working.

 

I'm getting the following error:

I am trying to call the speech to text services via Python, but get a "Backend request failed" error. However I do get results when I upload the file via the "Try it" interface.

 

My code snippet below:

View Document - "Error 5000"

Hi,

 

The view document feature was working fine for me about a week ago in my project.  Then I suddenly started recieving errors any time I make a request to the document viewer.  Other parts of the API work just fine, such as the text extraction.  

 

When testing on the haven on demand website I recieve the same errors (Tried this for both .docx and .txt files):

ViewDocument not working for a few days

Hi, I use the ViewDocument api to convert PDF's to HTML. This service now is not working for a few days. Not using the API but also not when trying on this website. What's wrong?

Thank you for taking a time to report your issue.

 

Our team did identify the issue, which was being caused by unexpected data causing large number of the backend components to fail and resulting in some user request failing.

 

We have since pushed updates to ensure improved availability of the View API.

Hi, I've updated a script to send requests to the new havenondemand api. STT appears to be taking longer than would be expected. I checked the request log for my key, however, this shows no requests in last 24 hours. When will the transition be completed? thanks

The transition to Haven OnDemand is now complete and you should be able to see your requests in the request log.

Speech recognition API

Some of the audio in mp3/mp4 files that I am using with the api is cut off, so not all of the audio is converted into text. My files are quite large, but is there away to obtain ALL of the text rather than just bits of it ??

api key required

Hello

 

I am using a Python script to do requests to the sentiment analysis API.

The request is the following

 

textAPI = text_from_tweet['text'].replace(" ","+")

r=requests.get("https://api.idolondemand.com/1/api/sync/analyzesentiment/v1?text="+textAPI+"&language=eng&apikey=xxx...

 

Sometimes it works, sometimes it gives this error instead :

I tried to add a time.sleep(1) to test if the requests were too close one to the other, but it stayed the same.

 

Is it an issue ?

Speech Recognition delivers empty results

Hi,

 

I have tested with multiple audio files (m4a, mp3, mp4). I even made an empty video with the audio (mp4).

 

It always returns:

}

 

All of the files are fairly "simple" and just with recordings of "this is a test" or "test test test".

 

I have tested it from the "Try"-tab on this web page, using a REST client and from Code (iOS).

Both by file upload and by URL.

 

Are there any current issues?

Speech server caching results

Speech server appears to be delivering the same result for different target URLs, I have checked the request log to verify that my code is sending different URL mp3

Hi

 

I am using the HTTP connector to index a site. I see that lot of data is not relevant and i want to remove it.

 

I tried the OOTB feaure Pre0=HtmlExtraction in CFS.cfg however i still see some data. Is it possible to custimize this OOTB HTML Extraction?

 

OR  

 

Do I need to write a LUA script to remove all the irelevant content? Is it possible to share such a LUA script with regex?

 

I am using IDOL 10.0 for now and will be updating it to 10.9 soon.

Create Index Problem

I'm trying to create two new custom-field indexes on IoD.

 

Apparently I have 0/50 units used (though I have 1 index with custom fields)

A new custom index costs 12 units

When I try and add a new index the message says 

 

"Unable to create text index: Reached index quota - need 12 units, have 8 units left"

 

Can you explain why this is?
