Re: error when create a sharepoint connecter

Hi,

Yes. You need to first create an index using the Create Text Index API. If you don't have an index, where will the connector put the information it has retrieved :) ?

Re: error when create a sharepoint connecter

Take a look at this link which details a bit more about the Sharepoint Connector setup - https://dev.havenondemand.com/docs/Connectors_Sharepoint.html

To search through documents once they are indexed, use the Query Text Index API.

Re: error when create a sharepoint connecter

Hi Tyler,

Thanks for you info,

I created connector, when I wanted to start it, it shows error:

Can not manually start an on-site flavor connector

When I want to query an index, o results shows, so it should because of the error above?

Re: error when create a sharepoint connecter

Hi Jetli,

On-site connectors such as Filesystem and SharePoint connectors cannot be run from the Start Connector API. Instead, after you have created an on-site connector successfully, you will receive download links as shown below. Then choose an appropriate link for your on-site environment to download the connector app. After that you will need to install the app and provide valid configurations such are the proxy (if required), the connector name etc. After the installation you can open a cmd window as adminnistrator and go to the folder where the connector app was installed (e.g. on Windows it could be "C:\Program Files\SharepointRemoteConnector-11.1.0") and run SharepointRemoteConnector.exe. Check the logs folder for log information.

Create Connector Response:Download_link {
  linux_x86 ( string , optional) Download link to Linux 32-bit connector installer.
  linux_x86_64 ( string , optional) Download link to Linux 64-bit connector installer.
  windows_x86 ( string , optional) Download link to Windows 32-bit connector installer.
  windows_x86_64 ( string , optional) Download link to Windows 64-bit connector installer.
}

Hope this helps,

Paco
