IDOL10 - blocking requests from processing

Hello,

I am finalizing solution for my client as mirgation/ upgrade from IDOL7 to IDOL10. the client has about 1000 pages and each page makes an empty call to IDOL for AJAX cross-domain integration. The URL hasn't been changed since IDOL7. the URL is taking over 12 seconds to respond as it calls the two content engines to load all databases. the URL calls to load a template which has a javascript reference in it. the URI is a=query&template=search&forcetemplaterefresh=true and the content of search.tmpl is pasted below. I need to know if I can stop this request from making into both content engines and only serve the requested template.

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:autn="http://schemas.autonomy.com/aci/">
<xsl:output method="html" omit-xml-declaration="yes" encoding="utf-8" indent="yes" doctype-system="about:legacy-compat" />
<xsl:template match="/">
  <html>
          <head>
                <script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.domain.com/ca/js/jquery/lib/1.7.x/jquery-1.7.2.min.js"></script>
                <script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.domain.com/ca/js/search/search-con.js"></script>
          </head>
          <body>
          </body>
  </html>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
